While you and the rest of the Crimson Resistance take up the fight to topple the Timekeeper, we wanted to take this chance to clear up confusion we've seen around how to earn or unlock certain Vault Hunter Skins, ECHO-4 Drone Skins, and other in-game rewards. 

Below you'll find a comprehensive recap of cosmetics and other items you can add to your collection right now, along with the methods for how to get each of them. Once you've earned any of these rewards, you'll be able to redeem them in Borderlands 4 via the Reward Center section of your Inventory screen, under Equipment. Cosmetics can be equipped whenever via the Customization tab.

Limited-time Twitch Drops*

Now through September 26, watching any Borderlands 4 livestream in the Borderlands 4 category on the official Borderlands 4 Twitch channel or Gearbox Twitch channel for 20 minutes earns you an ECHO-4 Drone Skin: 

• "Watch, Drop, and Roll" ECHO-4 Drone Skin

And to celebrate the momentous launch of Borderlands 4, you can earn two Legendary guns from September 11-30 as sweet new additions to your in-game loadout. For full details on these offers, head to the Borderlands 4 Twitch Drops page.

Break Free Pack (launch weekend reward)**

From September 12 to 14, we watched as Borderlands 4 players unleashed unbridled carnage on Kairos, monitoring how much collective Mayhem you all caused. And because Vault Hunters across every platform gathered their friends and blew our expectations sky-high, we served up a SHiFT code for the Break Free Pack as a reward. For the SHiFT code, plus a breakdown of the pack's contents and how players unlocked them, check out this article. Here are the three cosmetic items and one Legendary Shield included in the Break Free Pack:

• "Break Free" Vault Hunter Skin usable by Vex, Rafa, Amon, and Harlowe
• "Break Free" ECHO-4 Drone Skin
• "Kn0x" ECHO-4 Drone Skin
• "Firebreak" Legendary Ripper Shield, which scales to your Vault Hunter's level (with a minimum of Lvl 25) when you redeem it via the Reward Center section of your Inventory screen, under Equipment.

Borderlands Franchise Loyalty Reward***

We've been humbled to see players returning to loot and shoot in the Borderlands universe for over a decade, and we're thrilled to see so many of those longtime fans on Kairos! To show much we appreciate your loyalty and love for the franchise, we're now offering an ECHO-4 Drone Skin in Borderlands 4 to returning Vault Hunters:

• "Paint the Town Crimson" ECHO-4 Drone Skin

To earn this reward for use in Borderlands 4, you'll need a free SHiFT Account. From there, simply sign into that account while playing Borderlands 4 after having logged into the same account in any of the following titles:

• Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition
• Borderlands 2
• Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel
• Borderlands 3

If you've already played those games on any platform while logged in to the same SHiFT Account you're using in Borderlands 4, you should automatically have the ECHO-4 Drone Skin reward!

To get the exclusive "Hazard Pay" Weapon Skin in Borderlands 4, you need to subscribe to receive newsletters and digital marketing using your SHiFT Account. Here are step-by-step instructions:

1. Subscribe to receive newsletters and digital marketing with a SHiFT Account. You can create a free SHiFT Account or log in here!
2. Log in on the SHiFT website, then link your preferred platform accounts under the "Gaming Platforms" tab.
3. Log in with your SHiFT Account in Borderlands 4 to receive your exclusive "Hazard Pay" Weapon Skin!
4. Whenever you receive a Borderlands email, check for extra rewards like Golden Keys granted via SHiFT codes, then follow the instructions within to redeem them for your SHiFT Account!

Gilded Glory Pack (pre-order/pre-purchase bonus)

The Gilded Glory Pack was granted to everyone who pre-ordered Borderlands 4 on PlayStation®5 or Xbox Series X|S, or pre-purchased on Steam or the Epic Games Store ahead of launch. There's still time to grab the Gilded Glory Pack as a pre-order bonus for Borderlands 4 on Nintendo Switch 2 before its October 3, 2025 launch date!

If you missed the boat to get the Gilded Glory Pack, it'll be available as a standalone purchase at a later date. It contains four cosmetic items for your collection:

• "Get a Grip" Vault Hunter Head usable by Vex, Rafa, Amon, and Harlowe
• "Lust for Luster" Vault Hunter Skin usable by Vex, Rafa, Amon, and Harlowe

Along with the cosmetic items listed above, the Gilded Glory Pack also gives you four pieces of Legendary gear that will help your Vault Hunter on their climb to the level cap. Here's a quick overview of what to expect from these killer additions to your arsenal:

• "Matador's Match" Lvl 1 Legendary Maliwan SMG: Fires off spiraling projectiles to create a cone of death
• "Transmitter" Lvl 30 Legendary Ripper Grenade: Teleports through nearby enemies multiple times, dishing out damage with every bloody bounce

Ornate Order Pack (included in Super Deluxe Edition)

The Ornate Order Pack cosmetics are paid content included in the Vault Hunter Pack, which is also part of Borderlands 4 Super Deluxe Edition. It includes a total of 12 premium cosmetics, with each Vault Hunter getting three unique cosmetics:

• "The Runner" Vault Hunter Head, Body, and Skin usable by Rafa

"Firehawk's Fury" Weapon Skin (included in Deluxe and Super Deluxe Edition)

This fiery Weapon Skin is a premium cosmetic included with Borderlands 4 Deluxe Edition and Super Deluxe Edition!
